Many people when they buy a motorcycle don't like the paint job, and have this enormous desire to change it to show their personality. Custom paint jobs on motorcycles are often done by professionals, but some are probably done by a 5-year old... Obviously, the racing world almost only uses custom paint jobs, since they need to show their colors, sponsors and team themes. Choppers are by definition a custom job, so they will have a custom paint job.
But normal street motorcycle get changed as well. Some of them are truly works of art, and some are "what-where-they-thinking".
