Holiday time is coming up at a very fast pace. Many people will be travelling throughout Europe, either on their motorcycle (+) or in cars (-). To help you understand a bit more than Europe is a collection of countries with their own rules & regulations, here are the main rules for the European countries.

Europe Road Signs

Note: PTW stands for Powered Two Wheeler, which is motorcycles, scooters but also mopeds (<50 cc), sidecars and often even trikes.

I wonder if it is a mistake, but Denmark is the only country that allows motorcycles to go faster than cars outside the urban area.

Drugs Forbidden: THC (cannabis), Methylamphetamine, MDMA (ecstasy)
The law does not make any difference between legal (medicines) and illegal drugs, so anyone unfit to drive after taking any kind of drug is guilty of an offence.
Forbidden Lanes Bus lanes may be used by any vehicle designed to carry more than 8 passengers (excluding the driver). Cyclists – and sometimes taxis and two-wheeled motor vehicles – can normally use bus lanes during the times they are operational. Other vehicles must not use bus lanes during the times they are operational, except for loading and unloading (and only if signs alongside the lane do not indicate otherwise).
Bus lanes are normally signposted with operational times and types of vehicles allowed. If no sign is visible or if no operational times are shown, motorists must assume that the bus lane is operational 24 hours a day.
Helmets Motorcycles, sidecars and mopeds
Mobile Phones With hands-free set only
