Here are three motorcycle safety ads coming from the land of pasta and pretty women (and guys I guess), Italy. All three were made by the same agency, Ogilvy & Mather in Milan, and all three are tagged for Occhio Alla Moto , but it looks like the first one is "sponsored" by Ducati. This print ad kind of escapes me, but it does look nice. It's from Ducati , and the text reads "You have got less than a second to see the biker". Does it mean that the motorcycle rides around too fast so you can't see it, or it's crowded out there and you have problems seeing motorcycles in dense traffic (which is true). In fact, the ad is targeted towards bikers, telling them to slow down so they can see who is around them (I guess). I'd venture a guess that they've been a tad too creative in the ad. What say you? (click on the ad for a bigger version). Too late. Next time slow down and be careful. It's the only way to see better who is around you. | The next two are from ANCMA (the motorcycle constructors' association), and evolve around the same theme of being seen and seeing. Here, the main tag line reads "What a biker has to do to be noticed?"
To be seen in traffic is easier than what you think: You just need to ride with caution, keep the lights turned on and pass on the left. |
