It's strange if you think about it, that people have to spend money, time & effort to advertize motorcycle safety, but there you go... we live in a strange world.
Here are two series of ads for motorcycle safety, both from the USA.
Note: All ads are clickable for a bigger version, but let it all load first!
Colorado Department of Transport
This first series, designed by the Amelie Company in Denver, are billboards, and they are aimed at car & truck drivers, but in a sublime way, to motorcycle riders. More info at Comotorcyclesafety.com .
C-DOT: Some of you never check your blind spot, so I wear a helmet.
C-DOT: You drive holding a 24oz coffee, so i wear safety gear.
C-DOT: Some of you only use the rearview mirror to floss, so I wear safety gear.
C-DOT: Half of you put ketchup on fries at 75 mph, so I wear a helmet.
C-DOT: Most of you think turn signals are optional, so I wear a helmet.
Utah Department of Public Safety
The next series builds on a previous one produced by Utah (remember the "Asphalt. World's fastest tattoo remover"?) and the Richter7 PR agency in Salt Lake City. These billboards are more aimed towards the motorcycle riders.
Utah DPS: Cars have bumpers, bikers have bones.
Utah DPS: To cars and trucks you're the bug.
Utah DPS: It's "born to be wild", not crazy
Utah DPS:Headlights can be replaced. Heads can't.
Utah DPS: Road rash is a preventable disease.
Utah DPS: Bikers make lousy speed bumps.
