Travelling on a motorcycle does not have to mean that you can't bring the kitchen sink (like these folks - link Open link in a new window). You can bring almost anything you want with you on a motorcycle, and to make matters ever easier, you can hook-up a trailer behind your bike and tow even more junk.

But the problem with trailers behind motorcycles is that you need to tow the weight of the trailer as well, and if you don't have a bike with an incredible amount of torque and horsepower, you'll be stuck pushing the combo uphill.

SylvanSport Open SylvanSport link in a new window have a very good option for you. These folks have been making interesting looking trailers, and now they have made a trailer that is ultralight. Called the Go-Easy Open Go-Easy link in a new window, the trailer looks modern, well designed and what's more important, very light.

The GO-Easy trailer weighs only 275 lb (or 125 kg). That's lighter than most motorcycles on their own, and even as heavy as some pillions I know.

You can literally haul anything you need with your motorcycle. It can officially carry up to 325 lb (147 kg) worth of gear in the powder-coated steel frame with aluminium floor.

There are several customization options available, including boxes etc and you can even put a pop-up tent. This gives you a two person tent, not bad when you go camping (no scary creepy crawlers inside your tent during the night). It also means you can haul more junk inside the tent.

Perfect for two-up holidays on the motorcycle.

Another bonus of the trailer is that you can easily place it upright in your garage thereby saving tons of space.  Since it's very light, you can do it easily by yourself.

As trailers go, it's not cheap, but then anything good and innovative never is. Price: US$1,995 for the basic model.
