Now that Arnold Schwarzenegger finally has got his motorcycle endorsement (see related articles below), he can legally ride his motorcycle (and fall off it whenever he wants...). Since the Governator is very much into a) ecology and b) motorcycles, Zero motorcycles is a God-sent company for him, specially considering that Zero is based in California. Zero brought their electric motorcycle to the governor (the story of Mohammed and the mountain springs to mind) to have a look see. I don't know if Arnold went for a ride on it, or just looked, but this is what the actor/politician said: "Zero electric motorcycles are very important technology and this is great for California because this is an ideal place to ride motorcycles," said Governor Schwarzenegger. "I want to personally thank Gene Banman andNeal Saiki for bringing these innovative electric zero emission motorcycles to the capitol for us to see. I love the financial side of these motorcycles because they cost less then one cent per mile to operate and you get a 10% federal tax credit plus a California rebate of $1,500. That equates to a 25 percent price reduction making these electric motorcycles affordable for anybody, and Zero Motorcycles has developed the type of technology that will save us all by reducing greenhouse gasses while utilizing renewable energy." With a great line-up of electric motorcycles, Zero seem to be well ahead of most of their competitors. Not bad for California motorcycle riders. That's an interesting price. Now if the rest of the world would follow with these interesting rebates, I would be lining up at a Zero dealer here in France.
