Strange, you would have thought that things were going the opposite way. The State of Western Australia (WA) have decided that the motorcycles used by their Police force are "ineffective" and "unsafe". Wooow! Talk about saying things diplomatically. Therefore the Police authorities have decided to reduce their current motorcycles from 94 to 30 units (which I presume are the "safe" motorcycles). The remaining 30 motorcycles are going to the Traffic Enforcement Group, ie, handing out tickets. According to the Police powers, the motorcycles were not often used. Here's a prime example of a bureaucratic layer in a government agency, in this case the Police, that has their head in a very dark and moist place. Instead of addressing why the motorcycle are rarely used, they decide instead to get rid of vehicles that have been paid for by the tax payer. Pure waste. If most Police forces around the world are using motorcycles to their full satisfaction, wouldn't it mean that if it ain't working for you, that maybe it's you who is the problem, not the motorcycles?
