Riding motorcycles usually means wearing sunglasses. Not only do they protect your eyes from airborne stuff, but with the glare of the sun into your eyes, you really need to dim the light. And let's face it ... sunglasses make us look cool. But for those of you who have good, if not perfect, distance vision, but require reading glasses to see what's in front of you, your choice is limited. You need to be able to read the dials on your dashboard AND be able to see the road up ahead, so you've got a problem. So you end up riding your motorcycle with normal sunglasses, and you just guess what's on the dials. Not good, not very safe. But there's a solution. Dual Eyewear have produced sunglasses with on the inside (lower inner part) of the sunglasses a bifocal-like magnification. The "bifocal" part does not hinder you looking at the road & traffic, but it allows you to look at your dash, or GPS. The magnification comes in +1.5, +2 and +2.5, depending on your requirements. The Dual Eyewear site has the following to say about the choice of magnification:
| To select a viewing power, consider how you will be using your Dual Eyewear. If you are a cyclist, motorcycle rider, or driver looking for a clear read of instruments, you might want to consider a magnification that is a bit weaker than what you use to read a book. For example, if you use 2.0 readers at home or at the office, try a 1.5. This drop in strength will not hinder your ability to focus on small text items like your cell phone. | The sunglasses come in different colors and shapes, and they have interchangeable lenses, so you can change in seconds from dark green to amber.
