If you're one of those people who get passionate about diesel motorcycles, but can't buy a new one, or bother making one, here's your chance. On the German eBay, there's a BMW R80 with a diesel engine for sale.
The 1992 BMW R80 motorcycle has got a 2001 Smart car diesel engine bolted into it. The diesel engine will give you between 30 and 60 hp, something you can dial in yourself using a laptop computer.
With its 270 kilos, it'll run at the decent speed of 150 kph, and already has some 35,000 kilometers on the counter. According to the owner, it consumes 3.5 liter per 100 kms.
Current bid is at €20,000, which is not bad for a unique motorcycle.
Just imagine the looks you'll get when you pull up at a gasoline station, and fill it up with diesel....
