I noticed an advertisement for a French outfit that supplies motorcycle (and car) tires over the internet. Nowadays you can buy almost anything on the internet, so why not motorcycle tires?
For those that can actually change their own tires, it's probably a good thing, cheaper than normal, and you do your own work. But what about people like me, with two left hands?
The French company Allo Pneus  have an interesting deal. You can buy the tires on-line for low prices, and then either head to a specialized dealer who will put the tires on your bike for you, or... they'll come to your house in a specialized van, and put them on wherever you want.
Sounds like a good thing, except when I looked at the site, I noticed that in my province, there's only one dealer, and no "home service" offered. So for me it's not interesting. But for those that live in an area covered by the home service, or with multiple dealers, it could be interesting.
The tire selection is well done, selecting the motorcycle manufacturer, then the model, give you a list of tires you can choose from. Almost every tire manufacturer is represented.
Would you buy a tire over the internet and have someone come to you home or office to install them?
