We all know about the Chinese; they'll copy anything they can get their hands on. It's a bit like the way things were with Japan in the 70's. The Chinese are copying software, luxury designer wear, medication, cars (recently the Smart car was cloned), and now it's the turn of the motorcycle industry. Chinese manufacturer Jonway have taken a BMW Scarver, removed the engine, substituting it with a 250cc engine (which is not a bad idea... I know my wife would like one..). They actually produce it as a 125, 250 and 300 cc version. Jonway YY250 BMW 650 Scarver | Now have a look at the two motorcycles. The top one is the Jonway (excuse the bad Photoshopping of the photo), the bottom one the BMW. That's like two drops of water, the only difference being the logo. I wonder how long before BMW legal beagles start sharpening their knifes. Or has this been done with BMW approval?
