Scenario: You want to go on a motorcycle holiday, touring around the country. Your spouse doesn't mind a day trip, but not the whole holiday: seeing new places, lazying around, eating good food etc is what is needed? So how can you do both? Solution: Take a "Bikes on Board" ship cruise! Taking advantage of one of the Royal Caribbean cruise ships, the Mariner of the Seas, you and a maximum of 34 other motorcycles are welcome onboard on this, built in 2003, cruise ship. You've got a swimming pool, sauna, casino, restaurants, cinema, etc etc. There's enough stuff to keep you and your family occupied and happy. Once you arrive at one of the designated Mexican cities, your motorcycle is off-loaded, and you (and maybe your pillion) take a guided tour of the area. The tour generally lasts 6 hours with plenty of rest stops. There's a chase vehicle, so in case of a brake down, you're not left stranded. After the day tour, you head back to the ship, and why not.... have a massage. Now, isn't that a great holiday? Departures are from Los Angeles, California. Prices very depending on the cabin you want, and the number of people. They start around US$ 1395 for people with a motorcycle (US$ 1195 if you don't have one) and climb to around US$ 2335 for a junior suite. There are special prices for clubs, such as the Goldwing Roadriders Association. Click here for more information (thanks Bill Papagno)
