Many riders don't care, but high visibility vests can be life saving. More and more motorcycle riders here in Europe are starting to wear them over their normal motorcycle clothes. Usually the hi-vis vests are fluorescent yellow, and look as ugly as a 0.50 cent hooker in Paris Boulogne. But it doesn't need to be so (the vests, not the hookers, there's nothing I can about that).
