Racing in the famous Dakar  rally is not only an incredible adventure, but also a very expensive one. For motorcycles, budgets of €75,000 for amateurs is the norm. Several racers have been saving up money for many years so that they can do this once-in-a-lifetime race. Others mortgage their house.
The smart ones contact local businesses and get them to sponsor them, and in return, they'll plaster the name of the local business on their motorcycle. Plumbers, butchers, bakeries, porn0 stores, perfume shops, garages .... wait a minute! read back.... PORN0 SHOPS????
