The Dakar rally is one of the toughest, and most deadliest motorcycle races in the world. During many years, riders have found their tragic ending during the race. Now, we can unfortunately add another victim to the growing list of motorcycle racers who have died. However in this case, the rider, Frenchman Jean-Michel Baron had his Dakar accident 24 years ago. Since the accident in the race in 1986, he has been in a coma. Last Thursday, Jean-Michel, passed away at home, where he was under home care. His wife, Jocelyne, stated that "motorcycles were his life". In 1980 Jean-Michel became French motocross champion, and in the previous edition of the Dakar, 1985, he ended 20th. So finally, Jean-Michel Baron can be laid to rest. RIP.
