Dakar: Cyril Despres To The Dark Side - Peugeot

5 times Dakar Open link in a new window winner, Cyril Despres Open link in a new window, has moved over to the dark side of rally riding - he's gone 4 wheels. His move to Yamaha was short lived, only 1 season.

For the 2015 Dakar, Peugeot announced that it will be entering the mythic rally with two official cars, one driven by WRC Champion Carlos Sainz and the other by Cyril Despres.

It's not a first time a motorcycle Dakar champion has moved, since many car winners have been former motorcycle winners. Especially the man who has the most wins to his name, Stephane Peterhansel Open link in a new window.
