Want to have a glass cockpit on your Harley-Davidson motorcycle? Like those high-tech cars, or even high tech BMW/Mini electric scooters (link  ), you now have the possibility to view your Harley's data using Apple's iPhone.
Nothing simpler. Buy the GaugeFace app and hardware adapter, connect it to your Harley's ECUElectronic Control Unit is a generic term for any embedded system that controls one or more of the electrical systems or subsystems in a motor vehicle. , and then you can see interesting data like speed, rpm, engine temperature, gear selected, and even your turn signals all on the iPhone's screen.
To make it work, just plug the cable coming from the adapter into your Harley's diagnostics port, place the adapter somewhere safe (like under the saddle), and place your iPhone or iPod Touch into a docking station (it does not come with one).
The GaugeFace app works with all EFIElectronic Fuel Injection equiped Harley's built after 2001, except currently the 2011 Softail (since it uses a different protocol).
