Don’t Want Motorcycle Scuff Marks On Your Shoes? Use A Parrot

Most motorcycles have gears that you need to change with your left foot. It's not a problem when you are using special motorcycle boots, since they are often reinforced at the toe, but when you wear proper shoes, like for business, arriving with scuff marks on your shoe is not the done thing for your career. And even if it's not your career at stake, it will cost you your shoes eventually.

You can buy these nice little shoe protectors (see related articles below), but it does involve remembering to bring them, and placing them on your left shoe.

But they do work...

However, Italian Tucano Urbano Open Tucano Urbano in a new window have a different way of protecting your shoes; they place a soft rubber shoe protector OVER the gear level. You can have a normal protector (called FOOT ON Open FOOT ON link in a new window), in two different colors (black or green but I have seen  red and blue )... or ...

... you can put a parrot head over the gear selector. Cool...

The FOOT ON is placed on the gear selector using an Allan key that tightens the protector on the gear lever. The Allan key is supplied with the product.
