Many bikers in the USA ride their motorcycles with doo rags or bandanas. It's not something that has caught on here in Europe, but it has an element of usefulness. It keeps the road dust and grime of your face, or better yet, lessens the pollution while riding the dirty cities on your motorcycle (it's also useful when forward speeding cameras are making photos of your face ...honest Office, I wasn't riding).
The "problem" with these doo rags is that you need to tie them in a knot. On its own, that's not a problem, but when wearing a helmet, it can be. The knot is usually pretty big and will bother you depending on your helmet.
