Not that he needs one, and probably doesn't even ride one, but two times F1 world champion, Fernado Alonso, the number 1 driver for the Ferrari F1 team, got a nice gift from Ducati. Ducati and Ferrari have always had a very close working relationship, and to celebrate it, Ducati donated a Desmosedici RR to the former champ. The motorcycle was painted in a combination of Ducati MotoGP and Ferrari F1 graphics, and obviously the color of the motorcycle is red... Ferrari/Ducati red. Lucky man. I wonder if a Ducati keychain and baseball wouldn't have been a better present? In 2006, Alonso had made a statement that he could be as fast as Rossi was in a F1 car (source ), so Rossi invited him to a duel. Alonso quickly withdrew his remark. I don't see Ducati clamoring over Alonso to get him to race in a Ducati MotoGP motorcycle, the way Ferrari is courting Rossi to switch to F1....
