After CEO-superstar Frederico Minoli leaving Ducati {link}, it would appear that their top designer, the South African Pierre Terblanche has left the Italian motorcycle manufacturer. This is very worrying. Frederico was a very charismatic and visionary leader, while Pierre Terblanche has talents unequalled by most designers. You have but to look at his latest motorcycle designer, the Ducati Hypermotard. But Pierre is not a one-hit designer, he was responsible for the design of the Cagiva 900 Gran Canyon (he worked for Cagiva before the sell off to Ducati), Ducati Multistrada, Hypermotard, Supermono, ST2 & ST3, MH900e, 999, 1000 GT, PaulSmart1000LE, and the 1000 Sport. I realize that no company depends on a single individual, but this is two superstars that have left. Can Ducati hold their own, and what is happening at their company. Are they losing their top talents?
