This is a very good sign. The European politicians are planning to make an annual technical roadworthiness inspection for motorcycles mandatory somewhere in the near future. Every motorcycle lobby group is totally against this, but now one government has pronounced against it, that of the Dutch government. The Dutch government has sent out a letter saying that they are against the proposed new law. According to them
| "The Netherlands is against the expansion of mandatory technical inspections for 2 or 3 wheeled vehicles, resulting in an enormous increase of administration and roadside inspections, since the expected positive effects on road safety and the environment can not be offset by the administrative efforts by its citizens and enterprises." | In other words, it's going to generate more problems than solutions. Pretty impressive for a government..... Now if the other government will do similar, the motorcycle mandatory technical inspections will be buried.
