This is a National Geographic Channel mini TV documentary series about the notorious Hells Angels 1%-er biker gang, released in 2008. The three hour long series uses actual footage of the Hells Angels; the real violence, shootings, drugs and surveillance scenes.
There are a lot of interviews with real Hells Angels (including Sonny Barger), cops, undercover agents and witnesses. There are also a lot of re-enactments of stuff that happened.
You get a good view of the history and culture of the Hells Angels, and obviously the movie shows a lot of motorcycles.
Some of the other 1%er gangs visible are Grip Reapers, Bandidos, Satan's Choice, Mongols, The Rock Machines, Nomads. The Dark Circle and The Bullshit.
Episode 1 Hells Angels
Documentary about the infiltration by an ATF agent inside the Hells Angels, prompted after the Laughlin casino shooting. Arizona Solos, a 1%er Motorcycle Club gang is in fact a gang of federal agents and informers, formed for the sole purpose to get rolled into the local Hells Angels. The whole thing turned into a multi-million dollars fiasco, even the trial was a fiasco.
Episode 2 The Road To Hell
Mom Boucher head of the Montreal Hells Angels trying to get the power to become the top crime lord in a biker gang war. Cops can not infiltrate the Angels, but an informer wants revenge and turns on his brothers. He's not a patched member, but a hang-around, but became a highly paid informer. The whole thing ends up in another fiasco for the cops
Episode 3 Angels Descending
The growing "criminal empire" in Canada of the Hells Angels. From the sounds of it, the Angels controlled all of Montreal, which sounds a bit far fetched. This time the cops turn a killer into a witness against the leader of the Hells Angels Quebec. But again, the law strikes out. So back to plan 1. But that also backfired. They finally succeed.
Episode 4 Angels Go Global
A view of the Angels' expansion into the whole world, specially Copenhagen, Denmark, and the police's attempts to stop them. Bandidos against Hells Angels. After Denmark come Sweden and Norway. Epic struggle between Hells Angels and the Bandidos. No one wins.
Plot: 4 episodes from the hit National Geographic Channel Series. Go undercover inside the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club. Featuring detailed re-enactments, suspense-driven narratives, and expert interviews with special agents as well as Hells Angels’ members, this acclaimed documentary series infiltrates the infamous organization like never before.
Verdict: Very interesting, but a bit slanted towards the law, i.e., all Angels are bad and criminal. That's like saying a couple of soldiers in the army are criminals, therefore all Army soldiers are criminals. Or all Italians are Mafia. The last 2 episodes are quite repetitive from the first two, but I guess that's what happens with TV series. Take the movie with a barrel of salt, but it remains interesting.
