The most anticipated and awaited event was, as usual, Ducati 's press conference. Ducati traditionally start the conference ball by supplying us hard working journalists with a good show on the night before the exhibition hall opens their doors. This year, Ducati held their conference inside Milan itself, in an old theater.. People were milling around, waiting for the spectacle. Inside, on the stage, were two Multistrada 1200s. Eventually the whole theater filled up, and people had to stand in the corridors. A sold out event! The show started with the master MC, Gabriele Del Torchio, CEO of Ducati. The 848 EVO was rolled on stage. And finally the Diavel was ridden on stage (see at the bottom of the article a video I made of the "coming out" of the Diavel. The guy on the left is some famous Italian actor, apparently... Three Diavels were on the stage, the Diavel Carbon (all black) was closest to me. A family portrait. Some close up shots from the front. Sorry for the fuzzy shot, the guy didn't want to move off the bike. The arrows point to the two dashboards, one on top, and one in the fuel tank with high visibility displays. .. and finally the dual exhaust and foot pegs. More when I come home and have the time to sort through 1000's of photos. Below is the video of the Diavel introduction. Enjoy. Ducati Diavel Press Introduction (54 seconds)
