Honda put another notch in the 125 market at Eicma . With their CBR125R, the 125 market has become an interesting area for youngsters. Gone are the "old" days, when a 125 looked like a 125. Now with the KTM 125 Duke and the new Honda CBR125R, at first glance, it's difficult to see that it's a 125. 125s are very popular in Europe, it's a big market. If you don't have a motorcycle license, you are allowed to ride a 125 with a car license (if you've got the car license for 2 years). So it's not only kids that ride 125s, but also a fair number of "older" folks. With a weight of 137 kgs, youngsters (and older people riding a 125) will have no problem maneuvering it around. Usually the tires were the giveaway, but even those have been changed, and now the Honda 125 sports a wider rear tire, a 130/70-17M/C. The 125 cc engine delivers 9.38kW / 10,000min power with a torque of 10.1Nm / 8000min, not bad for a 125 (remember in Europe there's a limit for 125s).
