Ducati logo
You'd almost forget all the other news Ducati had, but with the Multistrada 1200 things paled a bit.

First, the Ducati Week is on next year, it's a Misano, and it's from 10 - 13 June 2010, so start saving your pennies.

Secondly, Ducati Corse (Ducati Racing) has changed logo as well. Last year it was Ducati itself that changed (or updated) its logo, now it's the turn of Ducati Corse. It has taken the same shape as Ducati, but they've added some carbon fibre coloring at the bottom, and added the Italian flag. Not a bad logo as logos go.

In tune with the new logo, they've made a special edition 1198 motorcycle, with the Ducati Corse logo embedded, ie, if you look closely, you'll see the top to bottom is the logo.

The 1198S lost 1 kg and now weights 168 kgs with 170 hp. The 1198R also looses 1 kg with 180 hp. The "R" version gets a new Termignoni exhaust, while the "S" gets a Termignoni slip on carbon fibre muffler kit. Both get paddock stands.

The Hypermotard gets a new life... First the 796 version already mentioned in the last few weeks, an accessible motard motorcycle. Then the 1100EVO followed by the 1100evoSP. The EVO is an evolution of the previous version of the motorcycle, while the EVP SP is an extreme version.

The EVO lost 7 kgs with a dry weight of 172 kgs. The engine gained 5 hp, and now delivers 95 hp. Marzocchi 50mm forks were put on the bike, giving more travel and increased length. The motorcycle is also fitted with Brembo 305mm monobloc caliber discs.

On the SP, the handlebars are raised 20 mm.

On the Monster side, they have added ABS to all the models, the 696, the 1100 and the 1100S all get ABS behind the model number. In order not to disturb the model beauty, the fuel tank is reduced from 15 liters to 13.5 liters to accommodate the ABS electronics.

More when the specs arrive, and I have some more time.
