The first heat of the Prologue saw another Austrian rider stand on top of the 1.500 competitors from 35 nations and 5 continents: Ossi Reisinger dominates the world's elite riders at the 16th edition of Erzbergrodeo Open link in a new window .

The 28-year old national Motocross-Champion hammered his 450cc four-stroke with an astounding 12 seconds margin through the finish line at the Erzberg's summit.  Reisinger proofed once again that even an Erzbergrodeo first-timer can give the Factory top-riders a hard time at the world's biggest Dirt-Bike event.

Last years Iron Road Prologue winner Seppi Fally from Austria rocketed his Kawasaki KX450F to second place, and KTM Factory rider Kurt Caselli (USA) placed third on today's first heat of the high-speed race.

The heavy downpoors of the last days filled the racetrack with mega-sized water-puddles, and one of these tremendous waterholes ended  top-favourite Taddy Blazusiak's raceday quite too early. The KTM Factory-Superstar and three-times Red Bull Hare Scramble winner had to park his KTM with a flooded carburetor a mere 500 meters after the start. Taddy has now one more chance tomorrow to secure his first-row startin spot for the notorious Red Bull Hare Scramble on Sunday.

The other Erzbergrodeo top-riders had a good day “at the office" - Graham Jarvis (UK), Andreas Lettenbichler (GER), Kyle Redmond (USA), Riaan van Niekerk (RSA), Darryl Curtis (RSA), Gerhard Forster (GER), Cory Graffunder (CAN), Ben Hemingway (UK), Altus de Wet (RSA), Paul Bolton (UK), Dougie Lampkin (UK) and Erich Brandauer (AUT) all ranked amongst the Top-40 of today's Iron Road Prologue.
