For more years then I can remember we've had the USA Four Corner Tour (as far as I can remember, it started in 1983), whereby members would ride their motorcycles to the four corners of the US. It is a great way of seeing an immense country, and still have a measure of competition, or should we say adventure, in it. Well, now the USA is not the only one. The European Motorcycle Tour Operator Association, EMTA , is organizing a similar tour calling it appropriately "4 Corner Tour". The tour is sanctioned, and helped by, the organizers of the US version, the SCMA . It's the same principle as their US counterpart, you need to ride your motorcycle (sidecars and trikes are permitted) between Aberdeen in Scotland, Tallinn in Estonia, Portimao in Portugal and Catanzaro in Italy. Obviously Europe is bigger than that, but Greece is probably out for the moment. Not all ferries are allowed, they have a list of approved ones (if not it'll be really easy). You decide your own route, but you have 21 days to ride to the cities. You do not need to go back to the city where you started; once you have ridden your motorcycle to each of the four cities, and have brought back proof that you did (gas station receipts, toll booth, dated photos, etc), the ride is over. There is no specific date, you can start whenever you want. You don't have to do it solo, you can ride in a group. There's a bunch of rules and regulations, and you'll need to pony up. Click here to read the rules & regulations for the 4 Corner Tour .
