You got to give it to the Chinese. When push comes to shove, when they need to be creative, they find a way. The need arose for a man, Mr. Jen Fang, who needed to replace the exhaust of his motorcycle. But in a country with many billionaires and many, many more poor people, Mr. Fang fell in the poor people category. He had no money to buy a new exhaust.
So he did the thing that made the most sense to him; He placed a bamboo pipe on his motorcycle, replacing the old one. And guess what? It worked like a charm.
He was afraid it would catch fire, but after many miles of travelling, it didn't. And when a local TV station came to immortalize his new exhaust, they discovered that the exhaust was quieter than the original exhaust.
After broadcasting the piece on the TV stations, many people went for the same solution. Now you shouldn't be surprised to see motorcycle and scooters riding around with a bamboo exhaust. It's ecology friendly, it's more silent and it's a lot cheaper.
So that's a good tip for you, if you need to replace your exhaust on your motorcycle, why not use bamboo?
