With the strong increase of motorcycles and scooters over the last few months, it was only a question of time before service companies realize that there's money to be made out of bikers. One way of doing this is to increase your service towards motorcycles and their cash rich riders. French petrol giant, Total , has opened its first motorcycle friendly petrol station. The petrol pump has been made specially for motorcycles. It has a shorter nozzle, and you have a better visibility during the fueling process. You can stay seated on your bike during refueling and the fuel is paid for directly at the pump using your credit card, so you don't need to park and go to the cashier desk to pay. Next to the pump is a hook to attach your helmet while refueling. There's also stuff to clean your helmet and windscreen. The floor is anti-slip. Total also have a specially made-for motorcycle cleaning area, with an adapted pressure cleaning system. The cleaning "cabin" is smaller and has a special waterproof area to place your wallet, helmet, gloves, etc. The new motorcycle friendly petrol station can be found at 44 avenue de Paris at l'Isle Adam (North of Paris - departement 95). It's an experiment which Total will run for 6 months. If successful, they will expand this service to other stations. Way to go!! Thank you Total for think about us motorcycle riders.
