If you can't come to Le Mans to see the 24 Hours of Le Mans motorcycle endurance race, you can still see it in the comfort of your home or office. In fact, for the first time in motorcycle endurance racing, the complete race will be streamed live on the internet. The race itself starts at 15:00 (3 PM) CET (Central European Time), but there are several smaller races before that. ACO, the 24 Hours organizers, together with DailyMotion , will be showing you the race in it's entirety. Image, you can watch the racers run to their motorcycles in the running start.... powerful. New Booze Rules Obviously, if you're not there, you'll not see and hear the legendary English rock band, Status Quo, play to the crowds, but on the other hand, you'll be able to get plastered, since the racing fans have got a restriction on the number of alcohol that can be brought into the city. In fact, the city wide ordnance, valid for this weekend, states that you are allowed to buy and transport "only" 2 liters of beer or wine, or 1 liter of strong booze for the weekend. You are not allowed to bring in bottles of booze to the circuit, nor any bottle made out of glass. At the circuit, they will only sell alcohol of less than 4°, and all alcohol sales at the gas stations in the area is forbidden. The local cops will also be performing 15,000 alcohol tests during the weekend. Le Mans has had a bad history of drunken fans, not just the 24 Hours race, but also at the MotoGP and SuperBike. They are trying to stop that now. So whether you are at Le Mans, or watching it on your computer, the weekend's weather is forecasted as PERFECT. So enjoy.
