According to the French motorcycle magazine Moto-Journal , the French motorcycle taxi company, Travel Zen , is going to offer its customers an airbag jacket from Dainese .
This to improve the customer safety. Since their motorcycle-of-choice is a Honda Gold Wing, equipped with airbag, this means that there are two airbags, on the bike and on the customer. So what happens when the customer airbag hits the motorcycle's airbag? Of course, the customer is going to feel like Michelin's Bibendum ...
Personally, all joking aside, I think it's a good idea. Most customers are non-bikers, and not only does it put them in a safer-peace-of-mind, but it does actually provide extra safety. If all motorcycle taxi companies start offering this safety feature, the likes of Dainese are going to make a "killing". Which would mean that for normal folks like you and me, the airbag jacket will become cheaper to buy.
