Anti Radar Political Group
Since France has political parties for almost every occupation, interest or activity of the day-to-day life in France, from clowns (he even ran for president), to hookers, it's no surprise to see one that is anti-radar.

In the upcoming legislative elections scheduled for June 10th and 17th, a new party has been formed called the Mouvement Anti-Radar (MAR), the Anti-Radar Movement. The MAR acronym phonetically means "fed up".

The main political platform of the 80 candidates is to dismantle all photo enforcement devices; speed radars, red light radars, etc. They also want to stop the license point system, and they want to raise the legal speed limit on the excellent autoroutes to 160 kph (from 130 kph) - 99 mph.

There's more on their election platform, like banning CCTVClosed-circuit television (CCTV) is the use of video cameras to transmit a signal to a specific place, on a limited set of monitors. cameras, ban on smoking in private places, and hunting rights for all.

All these points have been hot discussion topics at the latest presidential elections, points that lost Sarkozy his job as Prez.

Let's see how many candidates get voted in at the elections. How fed up are the French? Time will tell. But considering that their Facebook Open Facebook link in a new window page at time of writing has only 150 likes, it doesn't seem likely.
