You can really sense that the elections are approaching. The French government just doesn't know what to do to get their face in the media. They seem to have a couple of pets that are taken out of the closet when they need to attract voters. Immigration is one, motorcycles is the other. Apart from announcing more and stricter police checks on motorcycles, they are now proposing to enlarge motorcycle license plates. It's not like we have a lot of space on our motorcycles, but the majority of legal license plates can be read from a good distance, so now they want to make the plates even larger! Or is it that maybe they "think" that having a larger license plate will catch more wind, and therefore slow us down? Anyway, I just wish these elections would be over so we could get on with our lives, but we'll have to wait another year. Let's see what the next political move is going to be. Maybe they'll no longer allow bikers to have beards and mustaches (the same would apply to male bikers...).
