After yesterday's taxi strike/protest in Paris, where 100's of cabs blocked traffic in the French capital, protesting the fact that motorcycle taxis are "unfair" competition, the motorcycle taxis say a big MERCI (thank you). Thank you, thank you, thank you.... Yes, the motorcycle taxis wring their hands in anticipation every time a strike or protest is planned in Paris (and there are a lot of them, almost daily). When public transport (metro and rail) go on strike, things are pretty bad in terms of getting where you need to go in Paris. But when taxis go on strike, it's impossible to go anywhere, except.... you guessed it... on a motorcycle. A motorcycle taxi! So when taxis go on strike, the reservation numbers for motorcycle taxis are inundated with reservations, and within minutes, all available motorcycles are fully booked. So car taxis: thank you, thank you, thank you. Please go on strike again.... So next time, if you need a motorcycle taxi, here are some of the web sites (it looks like Honda has done real well with these taxi companies):
