Lately, motorcycle deaths have been on the rise again in France. After several years of decline, they've started rising again. Unfortunately the government throws in mopeds into the statistics, and they don't take into account the fact that more and more people have taken to motorcycles and scooters in order to beat the traffic jams, but nevertheless, the figures are not good. The "departement" (ie French state) of Haute-Garonne has been severely hit by motorcycle and scooter deaths, and they have launched their own safety campaign, consisting of two posters and publicity. The first one: Translation: "His motorcycle allowed him to gain time. 40 years in advance to get buried.". followed by "In Haute-Garonne, 1 out of 3 deadly accidents are Powered Two Wheelers". The 2nd one: Translation: "His scooter saved him time. 60 years in advance to be in the morgue". Interesting...
