After the very successful motorcycle protest of Saturday (click here to see a full report ), the French Minister of Interior on a Sunday talk show, stated that we (the motorcycle world) had misunderstood him.... According to Claude Gueant, he never wanted motorcycle riders to wear mandatory hi-vis yellow or orange vests, but instead, wants bikers to have reflective stripes on our clothing. In other words, it's called spin-doctoring, or the quick step (also known as face saving) maneuver. So no hi-vis vests, but reflective stipes on our jackets, which is often the case. But what if you're not wearing a jacket if it's hot ..... like the motorcycle police?
