Despite the gloom of todays economic market, the motorcycle market in 2008 here in France has been pretty good. The first half exceeded many expectations, the 2nd half for obvious reasons not so good. Now the question is going to be how the 2009 market will hold up.
As for the manufacturer market share, the majority are still in the firm hands of the Japanese motorcycle brands with 67.8% of the over 125cc market share.
Here's what the over 125cc market looked like in France during 2008:
According to the French bosses of the brands, 2009 does not look so promising, but they are relatively optimistic that the outcome is not going to be a disaster.
Let's hope they're right...
