It just gets better and better. First the French Culture Minister, Frederic Mitterrand , is known to be zooming around Paris on a scooter, instead of the limo provided to him by the government. Then we find out that the French Industry Minister, Christian Estrosi , not only still rides motorcycles, but in a previous live was a professional MotoGP racer. © Voici Magazine | And now at the very top, President Nicolas Sarkozy, known to be quite against motorcycle riders, has been spotted during his holidays riding a scooter. This photo is from the Voici magazine, and you can clearly see that 1) President Nicolas Sarkozy is riding the Piaggio scooter, and b) he should be fined, since he's not got his helmet on properly, nor is it tied on. Officially, that's 3 points off his license, and a €135 fine. On top of that, it's really not recommended to ride without gloves & adequate protection. He should set the example for all. Not "do as I say, not as I do!". But somehow I don't think he'll get fined, and that's ok with me. I think it's more important that he discovers the joy of PTWPowered Two Wheel - motorcyles, scooters, mopeds riding, and that way will become more tolerant towards motorcycle riders in general.
