A lot of motorcycle riders speed, I'm one of them, though not always on purpose. From experience, there are three instances when you shouldn't speed: 1. When there are cops around 2. When you're doing your motorcycle exam 3. When you are training for your motorcycle exam A young guy in Beauvais, France missed points #1 and #3, and therefore will not get the chance to try point #2. He was caught riding his motorcycle at 150 kph (93 mph) on a 100 kph (62 mph) road, ON HIS DRIVING-SCHOOL Motorcycle. French driving school motorcycles are very visible, since they have extra protection (in case a student decides to let the bike fall), so they're quite noticeable. Students also wear high-visibility jackets, but the story doesn't mention if he was wearing one. But one thing doesn't make sense here.... driving school motorcycles are limited to some 34 HP. Would that be enough for his Yamaha XJ6 to reach 150 kph? Anyway, the student, apart from the fine, is not allowed to take he driving exams. The duration of the punishment is still to be determined, but it's going to be a while before he's legally on two wheels again.
