On one side, French people love motorcycles. They respect & admire the riders. On the other side, there's the government and their outlets (local governments, city authorities, etc). They see bikers as a pest, or more like the plague, and want to do anything get rid of us.

French central and local governments are using all sorts of laws to make motorcycle riding as difficult as can be. Needless to point out all the things they are inventing.

It would seem that they want to kill-off bikers, and in some cases, it looks like they really are trying to kill bikers - literally and figuratively.

What authority in their right mind could think of putting up these kind of spikes alongside the road, or even worse, on a speed bump? A biker who gets ejected from his/her motorcycle is going to get pierced by one of these spike.

The photo was taken at Vonnas Click for map, but it's not the only one. Click here to see 10 photos of other cities in France that don't care about the well being of bikers Open link in a new window.

Now we can understand why they aren't pressed at changing all the crash barriers, with so many of them that can decapitate a biker...
