A French motorcycle rider on the island of Corsica  has been "flashed" 52 times in the last 9 months BY THE SAME RADAR! You'd have thought he should know by now where that radar was located.
But the story is slightly different. He knew very well where the speed radar was located, and he also knew that the radar was front facing, so no way it could photograph his license plate. So he was speeding happily on the Yamaha 1700 V-Max , at times doing 172 kph in the 50 kph zone. And he was doing this always around the same time (late at night), wearing very distinctive clothing.
The local cops realized what was happening, and over the next few months started investigating. From the radar photos they could tell the motorcycle manufacturer and model, and since there are only some 10 of them on the island, it didn't take too long to find the culprit.
The biker has not only lost his driving license but also his precious Yamaha and will receive a nice, and very big, fine.
Some bikers just don't learn....This has got to be a Guinness World Record...

I love these kind of protests against speed radars, though it's the wrong time of year to do it. In Poland Mariusz Sztuba made a very unusual protest against the local speed radar in Bialy Bor, Poland.
Wearing nothing but his sneakers and his birthday suit, he went on his bicycle, speeding at 53 kph (33 mph) past a speed radar set for 40 kph (25 mph).
Imagine the surprise of the police officers looking at the speed radar photos of that day in October...........

This guy has either got the skills of Valentino Rossi, balls of steel, or he's dumber than dogshit, or both. 28 year old Anthony Anderson from Poughkeepsie was caught speeding by a state trooper in upstate New York, doing 193 mph (311 kph) on his Suzuki motorcycle. To make matters worse, it was raining (even MotoGP guys slow down when it rains).
He was travelling at the speed of light on the southbound Interstate 87.

Lucky during some bad luck, since he's not on the motorcycle, he's a pedestrian sliding at 137 kph, so he probably will not get a ticket! |
