It was only a matter of time, but the first French motorcycle taxi service, City Bird , has gone green. Apart from riding the Parisian streets on their Piaggio scooters, they have augmented their fleet with the Vectrix electric scooters. So now you can book a ride in Paris on an ecological scooter. Need to visit the Eiffel Tower ? Shopping in Chatelet? City Bird, and their new ecological service, electri-city.fr, will take you there on the Vectrix. Since the range is limited, you can't use the electric scoot to go to the airport:- you need to stay in Paris. City Bird currently have two of these green motorcycles. So far no price structure is shown on their site, so possibly the prices remain the same (cheap). Now, if only the others would do similar, Paris would be cleaner and a lot quieter.
