Normally, motorcycle taxis either use Honda Goldwings or other big motorcycles, or scooters. But an enterprising taxi driver is using a rather unusual motorcycle, or at least unusual for Europe. The motorcycle taxi company, Taco & Clô, in the southern French city of Montpellier , uses the Royal Enfield 500 Bullet motorcycle. The oldest still-in-manufacturering-motorcycle, started way back in the 1950's, is used to bring customers to their destination. You can only reserve the service, in other words, you'll not find the motorcycle taxi stationed somewhere waiting for customers. The customers of the company are all passionate about these "old" bikes themselves. To get to their destination, they need to pay about €16 to go from the city center to the airport, or €24 to get to the beaches. But they do arrive in style. If you're interested you'll need to call the driver: +33-6-34 19 43 86.
