Not only are our motorcycle electricity hungry, but so are our accessories. GPS, music, intercom, phones, walkie-talkie, expresso machines: you name it. They all use electricity. When you plug your devices into our motorcycle's 12V system, it'll use a bit more fuel. You'll probably not notice it, but over many months of riding, it'll make a slight difference on your gasoline budget. Malaysian designer Wai Hoong Leng, has come up with an interesting way of charging your accessories while riding your motorcycle. He's placed a mini wind turbine inside a helmet. This way, the more you ride, the more you charge your batteries. It's kind of a closed loop. The more you ride, the more you need electricity, the more you'll charge your batteries.... His design was submitted for a Greener Gadgets Design Competition. It's a design competition that is awarding design that make life not only easier, but also greener, ecological. He's not going to win any prize, but the concept is interesting. Click here to see the other entries .
