Two Hells Angels chapters got banned in Frankfurt , Germany due to weapons offenses and violence according to the German state. Not only are they no longer allowed in Frankfurt, but the authorities also confiscated their assets. According to the Interior minister, Boris Rhein, they have the authority to ban any club that aims to break the law. Displaying the Hells Angels badge is now considered an offense, but none of the 180 1%-ers got arrested. Looks a bit extreme to me, and more like a great soundbite for the politicians. Somehow I don't think banning a club is going to do anything, and it looks more like harassing motorcycles is a good political move. Crime comes in many forms, even cops take part in it. Are they going to ban the police force next? A biker group called "Bikers for Christ" were asked to leave the Manteca Pumpkin Festival since they were wearing their patch on their vests. There is no policy that patches are not allowed, just a knee-jerk reaction by the locals. For crying out loud, "Bikers for Christ" does not sound like a group of 1%-ers. And even than... when a 1%-er group goes out for a charity run, do people complain? Click here to read the Bikers for Christ story
