If your government doesn't have a scrappage scheme for used motorcycles, and your local dealer isn't interested in trading in your old clunker for a new one, you can sell your bike for scrap. Or you could be charitable, and donate your motorcycle for charity. One such organization, in the UK, is now accepting motorcycles (or as the English say, motorbikes). GiveAcar will take any vehicle of your hands, not only motorcycles and cars. The organization will come and pick up your bike for you (obviously only in the UK), and deal with it in an environmentally friendly way. It can be fixed up, or pulled apart. The money that the motorcycle generates will go to one of the charity organizations, you get the choice which one gets the dinero. The only thing missing in the list of charities is one that is close to many bikers; Riders for Health . But who knows, that may change. So if you want to feel good about abandoning your old bike, give it to charity. Click here to access the GiveaCar motorcycle site .
