Givi: The Ideal Motorcycle Tank Bag?

For those of you riding motorcycle equipped with a tankbag, you know the "problems". You need to fit the tank bag using straps and/or magnets (which is not always handy if you've got magnetic sensitive material, like flash drives), and removing the bag when refueling can be a pain.

think they have the solution. Their new 3D range of tank bags have a different system to fasten the bag onto your fuel tank; no straps, no magnets, the tank bag is simply mounted on to the fuel filler ring with a one-click system.

It does mean that only specific motorcycle models can be equipped with this bag, since it involves removing your original filler ring and replacing it with Givi's. But once you've replaced the ring, fitting the Givi tank bag is a matter of taking the tank bag and placing it onto the new filler ring, snapping it into place. Though if you read the downloadable manual, Givi do want you to tie a strap to the handlebar, just in case....

Removing the bag is as simple as pressing the red lever that unlatches the bag from the filler ring.

Another added advantage of the Givi bags is that you can adjust the position of the bag from way up front (towards the handlebar) right up to your belly. The position is whatever you are comfortable with. However, this is not something you do on the fly, you'll need to remove some screws.

Before buying one of these bags, make sure your motorcycle is compatible. You'll find the motorcycle models that are compatible in a PDF file on their site.
