Givi, the Italian accessories manufacturer, has releases an universal GPS holder, the Givi S850. And with universal, we mean both GPS type and motorcycle universal, i.e., any portable GPS (for cars or PDA) on any motorcycle or scooter.
The holder is really a bag (no surprise there, since that's what Givi manufacturers the most), that is strapped to your handlebars. You can take off the bag in seconds, and take it with you.
The advantage of using a bag is obvious if you don't have a motorcycle specific GPS; car or PDA GPSs are not rain proof, and often do not like the dust & dirt we are exposed too on a motorcycle. So putting them in a transparent bag that reduces vibrations make sense.
Apart from the Velcro straps, there are several pockets that you should be able to use for tollbooth change, etc.
The product looks nice. So far, no price or availability.
