Most of us motorcycle riders have gotten used to GPSs, either we have one on our motorcycle, or we know others who've got one. Many cars are now being equipped with a GPS as standard, so a GPS has become a necessity. But all GPSs are more or less the same looking; a square or rectangular box with a screen and buttons or a touch screen. Jeongmin Ok from Seoul, Korea has a more interesting and artistic take on these gadgets. Since a GPS is nothing more than an elaborate compass, he designed a GPS based on a compass, i.e., round. Although very simple looking from the outside, it's jammed packed with technology. The Moto GPS, as stated, is round, and can be configured to simply show the way with an arrow (more or less like a compass), or show you a detailed road-map. The 3.5" screen is a touchscreen, so no buttons on the outside apart from one or two. As GPSs go, this one would look really good on any motorcycle. Most motorcycle dashboard use round displays, so this will fit right on.. The Moto GPS is further equipped with Bluetooth, so no wires going to your helmet. Too bad this is just a design study, not a prototype (yet). Maybe one of these days, one of the two big GPS manufacturers, Garmin or TomTom , might just pick up this idea. For motorcycles, this would be one excellent product. For more photos, click here
